Gayandrial "Ivy" Henderson is the Director of Housing & Real Estate Development at LIFT JAX, Inc., where she leads strategic initiatives focused on property acquisition, housing development, rehabilitation, and neighborhood revitalization. Her work centers on expanding equitable homeownership opportunities and implementing community-driven development that strengthens Jacksonville's Urban Core while preserving neighborhood character and long-term affordability.
Prior to joining LIFT JAX, Ivy served as a Park Planner and Designer for the City of Jacksonville, where she managed more than $3 million in public park improvement projects and contributed to the planning and design of several transformative riverfront parks, public spaces, and civic projects that have helped redefine Downtown Jacksonville's relationship with the St. Johns River. Her experience spans landscape architecture, urban planning, housing development, public engagement, and public-private partnerships, providing a multidisciplinary perspective on how thoughtful design and responsible development contribute to vibrant, resilient cities.
A Jacksonville native and Historic Eastside resident, Ivy has intentionally built her career around the neighborhoods that have shaped her. Her work has consistently focused on strengthening connections between Downtown and surrounding historic communities, including the Historic Eastside, through investments in housing, public spaces, and neighborhood revitalization. In addition to her professional role, she serves as Vice Chair of Florida Avenue Main Street, and a board member of Scenic Jacksonville. Ivy earned a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, magna cum laude, from the University of Florida.
