Jacksonville Music Walk of Fame Committee
The park’s Walk of Fame will be a pathway featuring the names of artists and composers with Jacksonville roots, embedded into the hardscape. To ensure the Walk of Fame reflects the true depth of Jacksonville’s music history, the DIA formed a special committee of local historians, musicians, authors, and industry professionals.

Notice is hereby given that the City of Jacksonville Downtown Investment Authority (“DIA”) is hosting an in-person meeting of the Walk of Fame Committee (“Committee”) on Thursday, April 17th at 4:00 p.m. at 29 W. Duval Street. The purpose of the meeting is to define and finalize the criteria for inclusion in the Walk of Fame.

Walk of Fame Committee
The waterfront of the Jacksonville Center for the Performing Arts is being transformed into a vibrant park celebrating the city’s rich musical heritage. Planned features include a Musical Heritage Garden honoring musicians and composers with Jacksonville ties through interactive art elements and a Walk of Fame. The park will also include a children’s music play area and a state-of-the-art outdoor projection venue featuring a sculptural projection tower.Jacksonville Music Walk of Fame Committee

Nominee must meet one (1) or more of the following:- Born and/or raised in Jacksonville/Duval County
- Spent a significant amount of time in Jacksonville/Duval County
- Attended school or launched music career in Jacksonville/Duval County
- Industry Impact
Nominee must demonstrate significant accomplishments and longevity in the music industry
