Rebecca Lavie

Rebecca C. Lavie joined the DIA in February 2026 and has been with the Office of General Counsel since November 2021. Prior to joining the DIA, Rebecca served as counsel to JEA where she provided legal support over a wide range of areas, including procurement, contracts, public utilities, state and federal grant programs, Government in the Sunshine, public records, and ethics. Prior to joining the Office of General Counsel, she served in the St. Johns County Office of the County Attorney as a Senior Assistant County Attorney and in the Clay County Attorney’s Office as an Assistant County Attorney.

Rebecca is a Jacksonville native and is a graduate of Mandarin High School, Florida State University, and Tulane University Law School. While in law school, she worked as a local government law research assistant and as a law clerk for the City of New Orleans.

Rebecca is a Florida Bar Board Certified City, County and Local Government Attorney. She is admitted to the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida and is a member of the Florida Bar Association, the Florida Association of County Attorneys, the American Public Power Association, the Energy Bar Association, the Jacksonville Bar Association, and the Diocese of St. Augustine Catholic Lawyers Guild. She serves on the Finance and Tax Committee for the Florida Association of County Attorneys.
